The process of adventure education involves the use of adventure activities, sometimes seemingly life threatening situations, to bring out concrete learning.
The adventure programmes provide unfamiliar learning environments. Those are valuable because they present such a stark contrast to learners’ familiar environments.

They often allow participants to see old behaviour patterns in a new light with richer perspective. The activities are designed to strip participants of “practised and scripted” behaviours. Individuals disengage from old paradigms and are given the opportunity to formulate more effective ones.

The experiences achieved in outdoors act as very potent and effective vehicles in achieving developmental goals. The outdoors provides an ideal medium for this experiential learning process of experience, feedback, reflection and experimentation.

Experiences can be tailored to the individual needs, extending participant’s confidence in a natural environment ; offering opportunities for enjoyment & satisfaction. The exercises could also be cocreated for specific requirements, according to the need of the organisation. The programme objectives can be decided by the organisation and then the detail process of the programme task will be decided after discussion between company and “Hills and Trails”.
